ASTA

At only eighteen, her voice has a gentle huskiness that defies her youth. Asta’s storytelling takes her audience on an intimate journey, grasping onto stories other people have told or touching on her own life experiences. Before she began dipping her toes in the electro/pop genre, her songs were mostly acoustic.

Before she skyrocketed to fame, Asta was the series’ prototype.

Mama Bear

“I thought I was a tough girl and could manage being home alone once my Mum jetted off to Fiji for a month. But no, I was so scared of the little creaks and rattles; I’m glad she’s back.”

Paul

“This song is about a dear friend of mine. I wrote it a while ago, back in 2010. It seems to hold different meanings every time I play it. Our friendship tends to change every summer.”

Young Love

“Young Love is a song about two kids falling in love then later on marrying when nineteen. This song was inspired by the death of my mother’s boyfriend when she was a teenager.”

Joey

“I wrote this a while back when I was in that teenage love phase – confused and a bit down. I loved this guy so much but didn’t know how to prove it to him.”
